What is an RSS Feed?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for content distribution. There are a number of ways to access RSS feeds. We recommend installing a feed reader that displays RSS feeds from the websites and blogs of your choice.
Feed readers can save a lot of time, because they enable you to view hundreds of headlines and articles from different sites in one place. After installing a feed reader, it’s simple to add individual feeds manually by clicking on the “Subscribe” or the “XML” orange button on the sites you frequent. Once the feed is added, you will be notified when the website or blog has new content to read.
RSS feed readers offer one of the most efficient ways to follow news, web site and software updates, newsletters, blogs and more. Many of the best news readers for Windows are available for free including one built into Windows Internet Explorer 7 and Google.
